Q: Do Rice Cakes contain nuts, peanuts, seeds or soy?
A: No, none of the crisp bread line contain the above.
Q: Is there any way peanuts could come in contact with the rice cakes?
A: There is no peanut contamination.
Q: Do rice cakes have a high or low Glycemic Index (GI) level?
A: It has a high level of GI
Q: What oil is used in rice cakes?
A: Sunflower Oil.
Q: What kind of sunflower oil is it?
A: Refined bleached and deoderised, solvent extracted which is commonly
used commercially.
Q: Is there any Soy in the Barley Rice Cakes?
A: There is no soy in the product or any used in the production of other
products on the same machinery. However we do use soy for other
products in the factory. Likelihood of contamination is very minimal.
Q: How are the rice cakes cooked (millet, buckwheat & barley)?
A: The mixture goes through an extruder, which partially cooks the product at
this stage it is one long continuous strip, which then goes through a large
toaster, it is then cut to the required length and packaged.
Q: Is the Brown Rice Flour fresh?
A: Yes, it is sourced locally and because it is organic it does not contain any
chemicals or pesticides.
Q: Is Millet Meal gluten free in the Millet Rice Cakes?
A: Yes. It is unlikely to contain gluten but does seem to affect some coeliacs.
