Freshness
Elaeis Organic Virgin Coconut Oil is processed on a small scale by members of the Banaban community. The coconuts are wild harvested from Fijian government accredited organic coconut trees. The oil is cold pressed and extracted without the use of centrifugal force. This minimal level of processing ensures that all the natural goodness is retained.
Storage
Elaeis Organic Virgin Coconut Oil is stored in an amber jar. Research has shown that tinted containers best protect oils from oxidation caused by exposure to light. Even though saturated oils are more resistant to oxidation than other oils, storage in an amber jar ensures optimal freshness and quality. The shelf life of Virgin Coconut Oil is 2 years after the date of production and 6 months after opening.
Versatile
The jar has a 63mm opening width, providing an easy to spoon out and no mess access to the Virgin Coconut Oil when it is semi solid at room temperature. Yet, the jar can also be used for pouring when the oil melts and becomes more liquefied at higher temperatures. Additionally, the curved corners of the jar allows for easy scooping when finishing off the jar.

Elaeis Organic Virgin Coconut Oil is guaranteed organic by the Banaban community, who harvest the coconuts from Fijian government accredited organic coconut palms. This Organic guarantee means that no pesticides, chemicals or artificial fertilisers are used in the growing, production, packaging and storage of the oil, making it a truly pristine and healthy product. Elaeis Organic Virgin Coconut Oil is also contained in a jar made out of PET (Polyethylene Terephthalate) food grade plastic. PET plastic does not contain plasticers which have been known to leach from plastic into foods. Research has proven that PET plastic is most suitable for storing oils over long periods of time and shows no evidence of substance leakage into the food. Look for the PET symbol when buying oils and food contained in plastic.
